Well, this story is like a little slice of pie! So very sweet, keeps you smiling, and hard to put down! I finished this debut novel in less than 24 hours and thoroughly enjoyed it! It’s a sweet, genuine story about moving forward, finding your place and finding your people. Following Rachel and Marco through their awkward meeting, becoming friends, then becoming MORE than friends was a journey that was difficult to put down in late hours of the night. It’s a quick, easy read, and one that will have you feeling all the butterflies and rooting for these two lovebirds!

This is one of the sweetest stories I've read in a while, and I read a LOT. Rachel and her son Jake are starting to settle into their new apartment in New York, after moving there from Buffalo (2 years after her divorce). Marco is their neighbour, who they meet in one of THE most awesome meet cute I've seen, including totally putting Marco in Jake's good books right from the very start. I loved Marco's friends and family, and how they just brought Rachel and Jake into their fold. I loved how Marco was an amazing gentleman with Rachel, while still bringing all the sizzle to their budding relationship. I loved how Jake was encourage and built up in a way that helped him overcome the trauma of the divorce, etc while still letting him be a kid. Just SO many elements in this story that were amazing and totally hit the spot for me. I'll definitely be checking out more of Kaleigh Whitford's work...

A really good book told from the perspective of Elliot who slowly comes to realize his best friend is the person he loves not his girlfriend. This is a witty well-written story and highly recommended reading.
